Sing Harlem Sing! was performed March, April, October, and November of 2009 at the newly renovated Dempsey Theater in Harlem. We rocked the house with music from Saturday night to Sunday morning. Sing Harlem Sing! is a new musical from the creators of Mama, I Want To Sing! Sing Harlem Sing! celebrates the soul-stirring power, energy and enthusiasm of the human voice. The musical features a soulful score including gospel, R&B, and rock ‘n’ rollmusic from Saturday night and Sunday morning. Sing Harlem Sing! features the cast direct from the Japan Tour and Vy Higginsen, as you remember her, on WBLS, KISS-FM and WWRL as well as WVHW, the radio station that brought you Mama, I Want to Singwhere the music comes alive. Sing Harlem Sing! is uplifting, inspiring, emotionally satisfying, bringing you R&B, Soul, and Gospel designed to brighten your spirits and lift you out of your seat. Sing Harlem Sing! is music from a time when the human voice was the power, the possibility and the promise.
